ITINERARY

On this exclusive round trip, we discover the fascinating diversity of Greece – from the ancient splendor of Athens to the hidden treasures of the Peloponnese. We immerse ourselves in history, culture and nature, accompanied by culinary highlights and breathtaking landscapes.

After arriving in Athens, we explore the historic center, from Syntagma Square through the picturesque Plaka to Theseion. The next morning, we visit the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum before visiting either the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion at sunset or the National Gallery and Lycabettus Hill.

We leave Athens for the Peloponnese, passing through Corinth and arriving in Dimitsana – a mountain village with unique architecture and a rich monastic tradition. Here we stroll through cobblestone lanes, visit the oldest library in Greece (1764) and enjoy dinner at a traditional tavern. The next day, we will hike through the imposing Lousios Gorge, passing monasteries and ancient ruins.

In Olympia, we experience the former splendor of the ancient competition sites with a German-speaking guide and the latest virtual reality technology. We continue to Mystras, the Byzantine ghost town, where we walk through palaces, monasteries and ruins that still feel the breath of times gone by. A visit to the Olive Oil Museum in Sparta rounds off this day of culinary and cultural highlights.

The fortified rock town of Monemvasia enchants with its medieval charm and spectacular views. Via the mountain village of Kosmas, we arrive at Leonidio, where the tradition of the Tsakonika language remains alive. A restored mansion awaits us here as accommodation, along with spectacular rocky landscapes and hiking trails with views of the deep blue sea.

The journey ends in Nafplio – one of the most beautiful cities in Greece. Venetian architecture, castles and charming alleys invite you to explore. A side trip to the ancient theater of Epidaurus reveals the masterwork of Greek architecture. On the way back to Athens, we will enjoy a wine tasting in Nemea before saying goodbye with a final dinner together in the capital.
